Website Review –

The website is working well. Scott Allen is keeping items up to date. Those in charge of Take A Stroll Saturdays need to provide information for their activity two weeks prior to the event to Scott, including date, time, location, partnering organization information, and other details for the event.

Steve Hook has updated the interactive maps with the Take A Stroll locations. In the last six months, 157 map views have occurred.

“Take a Stroll” Program – Dates for the 2018 Take A Stroll Saturdays are as follows:

May 19, 9:00 AM – Parkview Noble Trail. In partnership with Parkview Noble Center for Healthy Living. Ray Scott is in charge.

June 2, 9:00 AM – Fishing Line Trail. In partnership with Noble Trails, in conjunction with National Trails Day. Scott Allen is in charge.

July 28, 9:00 AM – Canoeing/Kayaking Event on Elkhart River. In partnership with West Lakes Association. Jim Haddock is in charge.

August 25, 1:30 PM – Bixler Lake Trail. In partnership with Kendallville Parks Department. A barbecue cookoff will follow. Jim Haddock is in charge.

September 22, 9:00 AM – Chain O Lakes State Park. In partnership with Indiana Department of Natural Resources and National Public Lands Day. Free park admittance. Doug Keenan is in charge.

Scott Allen passed out a form for each Board member in charge of a hike to fill out and return to Scott as soon as possible. Scott will use the information for new releases, and the forms will help the Board members prepare for each event.

Ligonier Strawberry Valley Greenway – No new developments.

Noble Trails program – The Fishing Trail 5K will be held on April 29. As of Monday, there were 70 registered for the event. The trail continues to grow!

Ray Scott contacted Tom Janes regarding a director from the west side of the county. Expanding the search to Cromwell area may help.

Meeting adjourned at 10:45 AM.

Next meeting – Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Noble County Public Library.
