The Noble County Parks and Recreation Board extends its deepest appreciation to longtime board
member Scott Allen, who served with distinction from the board’s inception in 2011 through December 31, 2024. As one of the original members, Scott’s leadership, time, and unwavering advocacy helped lay the foundation for outdoor recreation and park development in Noble County.
“Scott has been an incredible asset to our team and our community,” said Board President Diann Scott. “His vision and dedication helped make Noble County’s parks and trails what they are today.”
In early 2025, the Board began accepting applications and conducting interviews to fill Scott’s seat. After careful consideration, Kevin Yant was appointed by the Noble County Circuit Court Judge. Kevin, a long-time resident of Noble County, brings not only a passion for the outdoors but also a strong history of volunteerism in the community. Kevin enjoys camping, backpacking, hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing, and photography. He and his wife live in Noble County with their daughter and are enthusiastic supporters of community recreation.
The Noble County Parks and Recreation Board consists of six residents from across the county, five of whom are appointed by the county government and one who is appointed by Purdue Extension. Together, these volunteer leaders help guide the future of public recreation in Noble County, preserving natural assets and enhancing quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
