Fall Summit Announced
The Noble County Parks & Recreation Fall Summit will be held on October 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to
noon at the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center.
Stakeholders are invited to attend. The meeting will take place in the Gathering Room at the Kesling Farmstead, located at 2152 S 425 W, Albion, Indiana (south of Wolf Lake.)
The Parks & Recreation Summit is an excellent opportunity to connect with peers in outdoor
recreation across Noble County, as well as nature enthusiasts, to learn about local park management and conservation developments. The focus this fall will be on promoting sustainable practices and enhancing local parks, with informative sessions led by industry experts. Topics will include fundraising and grant writing, marketing, and collaboration.
Interactive workshops are planned, led by inspiring keynote speakers, to help stakeholders gain valuable insights and ideas to apply to their own properties and projects. Attendees will also be treated to a site tour of Merry Lea and hear an engaging presentation about the Farmstead.
Anyone who serves in Noble County as a park board member, a park manager, or is simply passionate about preserving natural spaces is encouraged to attend this great networking event. The summit is free.
